Teenage Hangout

              This project involves the interior and exterior design of a teenage hangout space for family and friends. The space promotes a sense of belonging and excitement with an open floor plan that allows life to flow from room to room. An upbeat and fun environment is created by using bright colors and an eye-catching geode-covered wall. The space is flooded with natural light but also has blackout curtains for movie nights and night games. A small kitchen is included for baking adventures as well as increased independence and responsibility when hosting friends. The sleeping area is modern and creative with connected bunked beds and a fun beaded wall-curtain to close off the space but keep it connected to the living area. The hangout would not be complete without a separate arcade room with retro-style game systems and a foosball table. The multifunctional interior is the unique “place to be” for the teens to enjoy with friends and family for years to come.
